About the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics (PSET)

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics houses two divisions:

The Division of Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry (MNPC)

The MNPC Division offers research programs in drug metabolism, biocatalysis, pharmaceutical toxicology, organic synthesis, drug design, biopolymeric drugs, biotechnology and structural biology, computer aided drug discovery, structure-activity relationships, bioanalytical chemistry, and molecular pharmacology.

It contains one Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree program:

PhD in Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry

The Division of Pharmaceutics and Translational Therapeutics (PTT)

The PTT Division focuses on physical pharmacy, dosage form development and performance, and industrial/manufacturing pharmacy, as well as the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs and biological molecules.

It contains two PhD degree programs:

PhD in Pharmaceutics

PhD in Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences
