On April 2, a handful of students, faculty, and administrators from the College of Pharmacy – including Dean Donald Letendre – were among the nearly 200 University of Iowa representatives on hand at the third annual Hawkeye Caucus Day at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines.

The members of the University of Iowa community gathered in the Capitol rotunda to demonstrate to legislators and staff the impact the university has on every community statewide. Students and administrators visited with members of the legislative community about their hometowns, their experiences at the UI, and their ambitions post-graduation.

Legislative backing is essential to the University of Iowa, and the College of Pharmacy, in particular, as we work toward establishing support for a new building.
