Jeffrey L. Halverson is the Vice President of Covenant Clinic at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Iowa (WFH-IA) in Waterloo, IA, which is a multi-specialty physician practice clinic consisting of 164 providers. Halverson joined the WFH-IA Senior Leadership Team in April 1996, following more than fourteen years prior in leadership positions within Covenant Medical Center, Inc., including Director of Community Health Services, Director of Business Services, and Director of Retail Pharmacies.
In May 2018, the Iowa Medical Society (IMS) awarded Halverson the John F. Sanford Award, which recognizes a layperson who has made an outstanding contribution to health care in Iowa. Halverson was Past-President of the Black Hawk County Pharmacy Association in 1983 and Past-Chairman of the Public Affairs Committee of Iowa Pharmacists Association in 1985.
Halverson received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa in 1979, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa in 1987, and became a certified Medical Practice Executive in 1998. Halverson is an active volunteer with several organizations: Rotary International, Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the Cedar Valley United Way. Halverson is married with three adult children.
