Justin Schneider is vice president of clinical operations at Sinai Health System in Chicago, Ill., where his responsibilities include pharmacy services, supply chain, cardiovascular and neurosciences across the system’s four hospitals, medical group, and 15 clinic locations in the area.
Schneider started his career with CVS/Pharmacy in Chicago, serving as pharmacy manager at several CVS locations. After three years in community pharmacy, he transitioned into hospital practice, joining Sinai Health System in Chicago in the role of pharmacy operations manager at Mount Sinai Hospital. Shortly thereafter, he assumed the role of director of pharmacy for Sinai Health System, where he invested in significant pharmacy automation, led the expansion of clinical pharmacy services in the inpatient, ambulatory and transitions of care settings, and initiated a PGY1 residency program, PGY2 administration program, and expanded the number of pharmacy practice experiences to over 100 students annually.
Outside of pharmacy services, Schneider has also served as the administrator for the Stroke Service line across Sinai Health System's three accredited stroke centers.
Schneider serves on several professional councils and advisory groups for Chicago-area colleges of pharmacy and supply chain and pharmacy collaboratives. He remains active in the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
