Matthew Farley, '15 PharmD, is a senior manager of medication technology and analytics at Fresenius Kabi USA, one of the largest injectable drug manufacturers in the United States. He is a pharmacy technology expert for the organization, educating internally on how Fresenius’s products interact with downstream applications and technology. Farley aids in the development of next-generation pharmaceutical delivery systems and digital therapeutic technologies. In addition, he provides product management in the development of analytics software offerings for hospitals regarding automated dispensing systems.
Throughout school, Farley was fortunate to take part in the startup company, Telepharm (later acquired by Cardinal), gaining invaluable experience with healthcare technology and innovation. After graduating Farley worked as an IT Pharmacist for Unitypoint, and later acted as an Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor there as well. He helped to implement Epic at various hospitals across the state of Iowa through the UIowa Community Connect program.
Farley is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS, HIMSS), Epic Willow Certified, and has completed the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy Informatics Certificate. He remains active at the Iowa Pharmacy Association, HIMSS, and ASHP.
