Bob J. Greenwood, Waterloo, Iowa, is a dedicated leader in the pharmacy profession and his community.
Greenwood, a graduate of Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, is a pharmacist, pharmacy owner, and longtime Waterloo City Council member. Greenwood and his wife, Chery, own three pharmacies: Greenwood Drug and Greenwood’s Compounding Center in Waterloo, Iowa, and Denver Drug in Denver, Iowa. They are also partners in two other practices, Martin Health Services Pharmacy in Denver, and Reinbeck Pharmacy in Reinbeck, Iowa. Greenwood is actively involved in health care issues on local, state, and national levels.
He is a past-president of the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA). He has served as an officer and director for the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), and as its president in 2010‐11. Greenwood is a member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
Greenwood has received two prestigious awards by the pharmacy profession: The Bowl of Hygeia in 2011 from the Iowa Pharmacy Association and the Hubert H. Humphrey award from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) in 2013. Greenwood received an Alumni Merit award from Creighton University, as was named an Honorary Alumnus from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, both in 2014.
Greenwood is an adjunct professor and preceptor at both the University of Iowa and Creighton University, where he also serves on the Dean’s advisory committee.
