The Johnson County Pharmacy Association (JCPA) will partner with the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) to hold a monthly meeting regarding the opioid epidemic. Registration begins at 6pm, with dinner to follow. Program starts at 7pm.

Iowa Pharmacy Association Goes Local--The Opioid Epidemic: A Community Discussion
The 2017 IPA Goes Local program will feature a 90-minute patient safety CE presentation and roundtable discussion. IPA is partnering with the Alliance of Coalitions for Change (AC4C) to present on the emerging public health crisis of opioid abuse and the role health care professionals have to help combat the trends of increasing abuse. Attendees will then discuss local strategies for collaboration and solutions to this multifaceted problem. The target audience includes: pharmacists, physicians, dentists, nurses, social work and treatment programs, law enforcement, substance abuse coalitions and interested stakeholders.
