Precision Genomic Medicine (PGM) utilizes a person’s genomic profile as a tool to manage health care and provide targeted disease treatment. This one-day conference is designed for health care professionals as an introduction to the application of Precision Genomic Medicine in patient management. We present outstanding successes at the University of Iowa that are driving the field forward, focus on the benefits and challenges surrounding the implementation of genetic data into standard practice, and offer keynote talks by invited guests.
