Brian Mutebi is an award-winning journalist and the executive director of Education & Development Opportunity in Uganda. Starting off as a freelance writer, Brian Mutebi inspired change in women and girls’ rights through his words in “I Use a Pen to Take Up the Case of Girls and Women”. Brian grew up in Uganda and eventually became the executive director of the Education Development Opportunity in Uganda (EDOU). He was also the 2016 winner of the “120 Under 40”, named “Commonwealth Young Achiever”, and was featured on Uganda’s “Top 40 Men under 40”. He developed a scholarship, the Brian Mutebi Dream Scholarship Fund to give to orphaned and vulnerable children, GBV survivors and teenage mothers.
