The Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPS) PhD degree program is designed for students interested in clinical research. The goal of the program is to advance the science of human pharmacology and therapeutics and to improve the safe, effective and economical use of medications by patients.

The program emphasizes the integration of clinical and basic research. It involves advanced studies of experimental and clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenetics and the requirements for regulatory approval of new drugs. The graduate is well prepared to assume a tenure track academic position or career as a clinical research scientist.

Financial Support:  Our students are supported through a research or teaching assistantship which provides tuition, fees, and a monthly living allowance. This is not aid for which you apply, but is offered if accepted into the program.
