Sorg Sample Pharmacy, Marion, Iowa’s last independently-owned pharmacy, closed its doors last week, after 140 years in business.

The pharmacy, owned by Edwin and Harriet Morris (BSPh ’70 and BSPh ’69), transferred its files to a nearby Walgreen’s as part of the purchase agreement.
