Hartig Drug, owned by College of Pharmacy Executive Leadership Board member Richard Hartig, recently announced implementation of a program to recycle prescription containers from any pharmacy. The vials will be placed in an industrial shredder, ground into a resin that can be taken to recycling centers, and used in a variety of recycled plastic products.
