Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry Associate Professor Zhendong Jin received a new National Science Foundation award for $50,000 for his study entitled “I-Corps: Development of Novel Anticancer Agents.”
Staff Spotlight is an initiative sponsored by the College of Pharmacy Staff Council to celebrate the incredibly talented staff within the college and to facilitate awareness and understanding of the unique individuals who make up the pharmacy family. Students, postdocs, and faculty in the Division of Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry attended the 53rd Annual MIKI Meeting, the Medicinal Chemistry Meeting-in-Miniature, at The University of Kansas from April 10-12.
On Nov. 20, 2014, PhD candidate Quynh Hoa Nguyen successfully defended her PhD thesis to the Division of Pharmaceutics and Translational Therapeutics.Quynh’s thesis title was “Risk assessment for drug degradation products using physiologically-based pharmacokinetic models.”
The College of Pharmacy is exceedingly pleased to report the Iowa Board of Regents approval of the schematic design, project description, and budget for the construction of a new facility during their recent meeting in Iowa City.
Philanthropy has helped many Iowa students achieve success. Two of those students – fourth-year pharmacy students Katy Rolfes and Stephanie Thrall – recently shared their educational experiences with members of the University of Iowa President's Club at the Iowa Memorial Union.
