Department of Pharmacy Practice & Science

Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) are the final component of the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. APPEs, commonly referred to as "rotations", allow student pharmacists to gain experience, apply knowledge and skills, and gain professional competence and confidence by delivering contemporary pharmaceutical care and completing other profession-related experiences under the supervision of preceptors.

Students are required to complete eight to ten five week practice experiences (four required and four to six elective). Rotations occur at practice sites throughout the state, country, and world.
