The UI College of Pharmacy awards scholarships to student pharmacists through a variety of awards. In 2022, the college awarded over $1.2 million to help cover the cost of education -- over half of our student body obtaining a scholarship.

All admitted first-year students entering Fall 2024 be considered for merit scholarships.

The deadline for students to apply for admissions is listed in PharmCAS and will be used for consideration for these scholarships.  Select merit-based scholarships awarded by the College of Pharmacy do not stack. If a student meets the minimum requirements for multiple awards, they will automatically be awarded the scholarship with the highest dollar value. Scholarships are subject to change each year for incoming new students. Please see the Scholarship and Grant Policies for more information.

New scholarship programs may be created each year, and award amounts for existing scholarship programs are subject to change. Currently enrolled PharmD students cannot become eligible for a new incoming scholarship or a new award amount that did not exist when they first enrolled at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy.  Scholarships are subject to change if tuition costs are decreased.
