Student Examination Procedures: Examplify
Examination Preparation
- Review the syllabus/ICON for examination details, including examination time and authorized materials
- Download the examination file.
- Gather all required materials:
- Assessment Laptop and Privacy screen
- Identification card
- Plain #2 pencil (calculations exams only)
- Gather any optional items you wish to utilize.
- Dry-erase board and marker (non-calculations exams only)
- TI-30Xa calculator
- Plain water bottle
- Bright foam earplugs
- Power cord and/or computer mouse
Pre-Examination
- Wait outside the examination room until the proctor admits you.
- Place any restricted belongings at the front of the room. Phones should be turned off and items should be contained within a closed bag.
- Go to your assigned seat.
- Place your student ID next to your laptop in a location that is easily viewable by the proctor(s).
- Ensure all applications (including anti-virus software) are closed. No notes, resources, or messaging applications may be accessed or reviewed once you enter the room.
- Open Examplify and proceed to the password screen.
- Sit quietly and wait for the proctor to start the examination.
Examination Start
- Complete the clearance process as instructed by the proctor(s).
- Enter the examination password into Examplify and start the examination.
During Examination
- Keep your device straight in front of you and keep your gaze directed on your work.
- Clear your dry-erase board between questions.
Examination End
- Erase your dry-erase board
- Stay seated and raise your hand to capture the proctor’s attention
- Slowly show the green upload confirmation screen and both sides of the blank dry-erase board to the proctor
- Turn in any paper materials
- When dismissed by the proctor, quietly pack your belongings and leave the examination room. Be considerate: Avoid congregating outside the examination room so students who are still testing are not disturbed.
