Two new faculty members were welcomed to the college in the beginning of January.

Morgan Sayler

Morgan Sayler joined the College of Pharmacy as an assistant professor (clinical)/clinical pharmacist at Iowa Lutheran Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in the beginning of January. She is in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science. In her position, she will be attending inpatient rounds with the medical team, serving as a drug information reference in the clinic, and seeing patients for education on multiple disease states, medication adherence, and thrombosis management. Her research interests include patient adherence and health literacy.

Before joining the University of Iowa, she was an assistant professor (clinical) at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy and clinical pharmacist at the University of Utah Greenwood Health Center.

Dr. Sayler completed her doctor of pharmacy from the University of Kansas and residency training with University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and Mercy Family Pharmacy in Dubuque, Iowa.

Morgan enjoys watching movies and sports, as well as getting walked by her (large) goldendoodle. The Indianola native is thrilled to be back in Iowa and with the University of Iowa College of  Pharmacy!

Amber Goedken

Amber Goedken, PharmD, PhD, joined the college as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science. She earned her PharmD from Iowa in 2004, and completed her PhD from Iowa in December 2011.

Her research interests include understanding factors affecting the use of prescription medications and health outcomes in children and understanding the impact of pharmacy benefit designs on the use of medications and outcomes.

In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with family and going to movies.
