Last week, the College of Pharmacy participated in the University of Iowa’s Health Sciences Day at the Iowa State Capitol.
Held on February 19, the annual Health Sciences featured representatives from the University of Iowa’s health sciences programs – including the colleges of pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, nursing, and public health, UI Hospitals and Clinics, and the State Hygienic Laboratory – met with state officials and legislators to discuss the university’s role in providing health care.
The UI representatives provided the legislators and guests with information about training future health professionals, patient care, and research, highlighting how the UI health sciences programs work together to help communities all over Iowa.
