On March 29, Michael Bornstein, '66 PhD in pharmaceutics, returned to the University of Iowa campus to share his story as one of the youngest known survivors of Auschwitz. The lecture - which was co-sponsored by the University of Iowa Alumni Association, Oaknoll Retirement Residence, and the College of Pharmacy - was attended by over 1,200 members of the UI and Iowa City community and viewed by over 14,000 in its Facebook live feed.

Bornstein and his daughter, Debbie Bornstein Holinstat, are authors of a new book, Survivor's Club: The True Story of a Very Young Prisoner of Auschwitz, published by MacMillan.
