Graduate students in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics (PSET) were recognized at the inaugural Graduate Student Recognition event held on May 6, 2022, at the College of Pharmacy Building. After opening remarks by Department Chair and Professor Jonathan Doorn, students were honored for their outstanding publications, fellowship awards, masterful teaching assistantships, and overall scholar of the year. Congratulations to our exceptional PhD students!
Dherya Bahl was named PSET Student Scholar of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding productivity, teaching, and/or service while enrolled as a student in one of the department's pharmacy graduate programs.
Although the name of the award is Student Scholar, Doorn said, "it really is all-encompassing. We look at things such as publications, scientific conferences attended, seminars provided, awards, other fellowships received, measures of distinction, teaching activities, service, and volunteer activities. This takes into account the complete body of work."
Bahl's faculty advisor is Dr. Lewis Stevens.
