Alice Chang is completing a PGY-1 Community-based residency at Hy-Vee Waterfront in Iowa City, Iowa. Her duties include encouraging more people to get involved with MTM, and keeping up with the pharmacy's workflow. Chang will soon conduct research on dietary supplements for patient use as well.

Palliative Care Certificate Impact:  The certificate made me more aware of how to counsel people about the effects of their medications. A lot of the people I've spoken to are older adults who are concerned about the side effects of their drugs. Having the experience from the classes I took as part of the palliative care certificate gave me more insight into a patient's entire self instead of the small snapshot one prescription might say about them.
