Emily Steimel graduated from the UI College of Pharmacy in 2023.  Currently, she is completing a PGY1 Ambulatory Care residency program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Palliative Care Certificate Impact:  I am utilizing the palliative care certificate in my day-to-day by providing care that is looking at the whole person and not just the condition/treatment. As a medical team, we treat the patient’s condition, but I also ask patients about their quality of life and what’s important to them at this stage of their disease.
