Palliative Care Certificate Impact: Participating in the palliative care certificate during my time in pharmacy school provided me with the tools to put my patients at the center of their care, practice with empathy, and advocate for patients best interest. This is a very unique opportunity to have in pharmacy schools and helped me to stand out from my peers when obtaining a residency. The palliative care certificate provided me with a welcoming community during my time at the University of Iowa and allowed me to make meaningful connections with other students and faculty.
