Sam Schauer grew up in North English, Iowa. He fulfilled his undergraduate and pharmacy school coursework at the University of Iowa. After graduation, Sam completed his PGY1 Acute Care Residency at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Sam is currently completing his PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at University of Wisconsin Health in Madison, Wisconsin. Go Hawks!

Palliative Care Certificate Impact: The palliative care certificate program has given me a refreshing lens through which to view the world! My training has helped me to become more empathetic in my personal and professional relationships and build a deeper connection with my patients. I use the skills I learned in this program daily and they allow me to function as a more wholistic and caring healthcare provider.
