​Ramprakash (Ram) Govindarajan has been appointed as a faculty member with the Division of Pharmaceutics and Translational Therapeutics and Director of Preformulation for University of Iowa Pharmaceuticals.

Govindarajan worked in drug product development at GlaxoSmithKline and has worked in formulation, preformulation, and process development groups over the last nine years. Prior to joining GlaxoSmithKline, he worked as a research associate in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Minnesota.

Ram’s educational background is in pharmaceutical sciences with a PhD in Pharmaceutics. He started employment on Sept. 1, 2015.
