August 13-15, 90 University of Iowa students participated in the Iowa Edge, a program designed for students from underrepresented backgrounds. The intent is to provide them with “the edge” as they start their collegiate journey, and to introduce them to available campus resources. Representatives from the university community were on-hand to provide insight and expertise, including the College of Pharmacy’s Horacio Olivo, associate professor, and Richard Barajas, director of admissions.
