Students from Kappa Psi gathered this holiday season to make blankets and hats for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) Children's Hospital Fleece Blanket and Newborn Hat Drive.

On Thursday November 20, 2014, PhD candidate Quynh Hoa Nguyen successfully defended her PhD thesis to the Division of Pharmaceutics and Translational Therapeutics in the College of Pharmacy.

 On Oct. 22, College of Pharmacy students held a competition to identify, prioritize, and develop treatment plans for hypothetical patients’ drug therapy problems.

On Nov. 14, student pharmacists volunteered to raise awareness on World Diabetes Day through events promoting healthy habits and lifestyle.

The College of Pharmacy will be implementing a Pre-Pharmacy Mentorship program to connect prospective pharmacy students with current students within the College.

In 2015, the University of Iowa’s Doctor of Pharmacy program will be 20 years old.

Philanthropy has helped many Iowa students achieve success. Two of those students – fourth-year pharmacy students Katy Rolfes and Stephanie Thrall – recently shared their educational experiences with members of the University of Iowa President's Club at the Iowa Memorial Union.
