Dr. Nicole Brogden, an associate in the UI College of Pharmacy, has received a statewide Women of Innovation award in the category of Research Innovation and Leadership.

Two College of Pharmacy graduate students and a professor were recognized at the 2013 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Annual Meeting and Exposition, held Nov. 10-14 in San Antonio, Texas.

A team of researchers at the University of Iowa has created a bio patch to regrow missing or damaged bone. The College of Pharmacy’s Sheetal D’Mello is a joint first author on the paper, and Bighley professor Aliasger Salem is a co-corresponding author.

The College of Pharmacy has met its goal: More than 60 percent of faculty and staff members in the college have financially invested in the University of Iowa so far this fiscal year.

On Friday, October 4, six of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy’s alumni and friends were honored during the annual recognition dinner.

In a dual ceremony on Thursday, October 3, the College of Pharmacy community celebrated the recipient of its third fully-endowed professorship, and its 2013 Osterhaus Medal for Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
