Homecoming 2012 marks the 100th anniversary for homecoming celebrations on the University of Iowa campus.

The week of July 16, several fifth and sixth grade girls attended the University of Iowa’s PharmCamp, a program jointly sponsored by the colleges of pharmacy, engineering, and medicine.

William Doucette, PhD, College of Pharmacy professor and head of the division of health services research has been named the recipient of the Deborah K. Veale Professorship in Healthcare Policy. This professorship aims to “actively involve the pharmacy profession in the creation of health care policies that will benefit our practice settings as well as our patients,” according to Debbie Veale.

College of Pharmacy administrators have been compiling data about graduating student placement, and this year’s data highlights a growing trend in pharmacy education.

College of Pharmacy Dean Donald E. Letendre spent much of June travelling the state, sharing accomplishments, research, and plans of the college with legislators and supporters.

Stephanie Thrall, a current College of Pharmacy student, is accompanying alumnus Patrick Keefe (’69 BSPh) and his wife on a medical mission to Uganda.

The College of Pharmacy Decanal Review Committee recently completed its charge set forth by Provost P. Barry Butler to provide review and evaluation regarding Dean Donald E.

Pamela Wong, a 2012 PharmD graduate, recently published an article in Diabetes Health Pharmacist Magazine.
