Sam Franck-Rezac is the director of analytical laboratories within University of Iowa Pharmaceuticals (UIP), a contract manufacturer and testing laboratory for pharmaceutical drug products in clinical trials through commercial stages. She manages the laboratory which consists of 16 individuals. They are responsible for the in-process, finished product release and stability testing as well as method development and validation for the pharmaceutical drug products.

The UI College of Pharmacy Professional Mentorship Program began in 2010 when the first group of alumni and friends walked on stage at the White Coat Ceremony to coat their assigned students.

Shiny Parsai, a 2016 Doctor of Pharmacy candidate, was selected as the Walmart/Pharmacy Times RESPy Award Winner for January. The RESPy Award program is designed to recognize pharmacy students nationwide for extraordinary humanitarian work in the community.
