Peter Veng-Pedersen, University of Iowa College of Pharmacy professor of pharmaceutics and translational therapeutics, is working with John Widness, UI professor of pediatrics to test a novel alternative for delivering red blood cells to preterm infants.
Stephanie Thrall, a current College of Pharmacy student, is accompanying alumnus Patrick Keefe (’69 BSPh) and his wife on a medical mission to Uganda. The group arrived in Uganda on June 27 and is blogging about the experience at hopeforkabingo.wordpress.com.
Jordan Cohen, vice president for research and economic development and former dean of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, was recently profiled by the Iowa City Press-Citizen. Cohen will be stepping down from his administrator role later this summer.
